A misfortune rarely seen struck James Sarjeant at the recent Monarchs visit to Oxford.

During the pre-match bike warm-up disaster struck as James' bike inexplicably caught fire. Mechanics and marshals acted swiftly to extinguish the flames but not before hundreds of pounds worth of damage had been caused.

James has spent recent weeks piecing his bike back together into its usual pristine condition but has been left counting the cost to the tune of around £750 to fix the damage from this terribly unlucky incident.

A bucket will be at the turnstiles at this Friday's Play Off Quarter Final clash against Redcar Bears and James would be most grateful for all contributions towards this unfortunate setback.
