After a determined performance on Friday night that almost secured the Scottish Open title Erik Riss made his Premiership debut for Leicester on Saturday evening.

Riding on his home track for the first time Erik started by defeating Jason Doyle in heat one to finish on a 5-1 with partner Kim Nilsson. He was involved in another two 5-1s but missed out on a paid maximum with a fall in his third ride.

There were other members of our team were in action on Saturday night. Ricky Wells took part in the Peter Craven Memorial Trophy to open the Belle Vue season. He scored 8 points in a meeting won by Kenneth Bjerre.
