Three weeks tonight until we hear the roar of bikes at Armadale once again with our season opening Harrisons Scottish Open Championship and we can now announce the second rider who will take to the shale.

That rider is one of our own for the coming season in American newcomer Ricky Wells.

Ricky has finally made the move to what he classes as one of his favourite tracks in the country after 8 years plying his trade with the likes of Stoke, Plymouth, Sheffield and Workington among others.

Ricky is always a tough customer around the confines of Armadale and what an introduction it would be for him as a Monarch if he was to lift the trophy. To do this Ricky will need to improve on his one previous Open performance scoring 9 points back in 2013 in an open won by Craig Cook.

Ricky cannot be discounted though and there are not many who will line up with more confidence than Ricky who will have had the benefit of some riding back in California over the winter and the Ben Fund meeting before launching his assault on the open.

Ricky's rider sponsorship package is currently available. This includes recognition as a rider sponsor, admission for two to the Open, two match magazines, a DVD of the Championship and the specially-made racejacket that will be worn by Ricky on the night, autographed by the man himself - all for just £120. Follow the link below to book this package now!

So 2 down 14 to go. Check back tomorrow when we will announce the third rider who will be going after the famous Jack Young Memorial trophy.

Tickets are on sale now with sponsorship packages also available details of all can be found here for what is sure to be a hotly contested night of racing to raise the curtain on our 21st season at Armadale.
