The busy period of racing continues for the Border Roofing Monarchs with the long journey to Somerset on Tuesday evening for the first leg of the Travel Plus Tours Knock Out Cup Final.

And the Border Roofing Monarchs will travel to Somerset without Kevin Wolbert and Max Clegg. Both riders have problems with arm and hand injuries and neither is ready to race tonight.

Thankfully Kevin has been released from hospital and is not required to return for any more treatment. He will undergo physiotherapy treatment over the next few days and has targeted a return to action at Armadale on Friday. Rider replacement will cover his absence offering an extra ride to everyone in the team except Craig Cook.

Max is also undergoing physiotherapy treat on his arm and hand and he hopes to try out at Birmingham on Wednesday night with a view to returning to action at Armadale on Friday. The new National League Riders Champion, Ben Morley, will deputise for Max at Somerset.

We won very comfortably at Somerset in the televised match in August but the Rebels have been going much better since then and it is sure to be a much tighter contest this time.

Supporters are reminded that the early bird tickets for Friday's return match at Armadale will increase at 5.00pm today so the best deal on tickets is only available until then.
