Thursday was a busy night for three of the Border Roofing Monarchs as they prepare for another big Premier League match at Armadale on Friday evening.

Craig Cook and Sam Masters were both riding for Belle Vue at Swindon and the Aces had a massive win by 53 to 39. Craig scored 7 + 2 from his five rides and Sam missed out on a paid maximum with a last place in heat 14.

There was a thought that our team of last year wasn't far away from Elite League standard and with Max Fricke and Stevie Worrall also in the Aces team tonight was that wasn't too far off the mark.

Down at Redcar Max Clegg was riding in the Julie Lewis Memorial Trophy, a National League standard event, and he did very well winning the final and suffering just one defeat in his six rides. That gives him good practice for our league visit there next Thursday.

Rob Branford has confirmed that he won't be fit to ride on Friday but his physiotherapist suggests that a return next Thursday at Redcar is a distinct possibility.

Supporters who have purchased online or intend to purchase at the gate on Friday a concession ticket, that is senior, student or child, are reminded that evidence of eligibility for a concession ticket will be required. Please bring proof of age or your student matriculation card.
