Missing from these shores for the past few days has been Craig Cook. He's been over in Poland for some practice.

Craig left his home in Cumbria last Wednesday to make the long trip to Gorzow to get some practice with his Polish team. He had an extensive session last Friday and has remained in Poland since to take part in two challenge matches.

In their Spring Trophy type season opening local derby Stal Gorzow raced Zielona Gora on Tuesday afternoon at Gorzow and the return takes place tomorrow.

Stal won the first match by 44 to 34 with Craig scoring 4 + 2 from his four rides in an abandoned match. Without the help of some practice on the Zielona track it will be interesting to see how he gets on on Wednesday.

Other riders that featured in the match were Krzysztof Kasprzak, Linus Sundstroem, Piotr Swiderski, Bartosz Zmarzlik, the only unbeaten rider in the meeting, Grzegorz Walasek, Andreas Jonsson and Piotr Protasiewicz.

After tomorrow's match will set off on the return journey to arrive in plenty of time for our press day on Saturday.
