After withdrawing from the meeting last Friday after just one ride Aaron Fox is feeling much better now and expects to take his place in the team on Friday.

Although Aaron had been passed fit by the doctor to resume last Friday after heat 2 he suffered a real shortage of breath and almost passed out in the pits. Although he was withdrawn from the match at that stage he was feeling better by the end of the match and by the beginning of this week he felt good for a return to action on Friday.

Said Aaron, "I concentrated on being fit for last Friday by doing absolutely nothing for ten days and I don't think I did myself any favours by doing that. Once I got back into the red hot action of the pits area I was caught out by everything that was going on. Since then I've been much more active and doing some exercises and I'll be better prepared for the match on Friday."

Aaron will keep active over the weekend as it is his turn to be offered a guest booking for Glasgow in their match on Sunday.

With the transfer deadline fast approaching, any new signings must be declared by Thursday, the Scotwaste Monarchs have had an approach to allow Jozsef Tabaka out on loan for the remainder of the season. However, the proposal has come to nothing as Jozsef has weekend racing commitments for the foreseeable future and does not have the time for a UK return at the moment.

Preparations continue for the Ben Nevis climb on 20th September. We are still trying to form teams for all of the riders and it will be possible to add your name to a rider's team on Friday. Any sponsorship will be gratefully received. A first update of how the sponsorship fund is progressing will be given on Friday.

Two supporters who had agree to join the climb on the original staging date of last Saturday but who are unable to participate on 20th September went ahead with their climb on Saturday anyway and we'll be asking them for some advice on the climb in due course.
