  Edinburgh Monarchs

It's a glorious day at Armadale with the temperature trying hard to get to 15 degrees. It's certainly what we would call an early summer's day at the Scotwaste Arena.

We are expecting a bumper crowd to come along and watch the Scotwaste Monarchs attempt to break their record for the number of consecutive wins at the start of a season. Our advance ticket sales are already well ahead of last week's excellent sale and we have been having a number of enquiries asking where and when.

Our two Scotwaste Monarchs already in action today have safely completed their meetings although both took more than two hours to run. Stevie was first man finished and he scored five and a bonus from five rides as his team Swindon were soundly thrashed at Poole. However, the meeting did finish in time to give Stevie ample time to get to Heathrow for his flight north. The plane is on schedule.

Craig Cook meeting at Belle Vue eventually turned into a dust bowl apparently. When he had clear air he scored five and a bonus from his first two rides but after that the dust got in the way and he failed to score from his last two outings. The Aces were convincing winners by 50 to 39. The meeting finished in time to give Craig ample time to get to Armadale.

We'd suggest you arrive early this evening to avoid the worst of the queues and, if you have kids, you'll have more chance of getting an Easter Egg.
