Max Fricke has been a busy young man since he has returned home racing on all three weekends since arriving down under.

His latest meeting was at Gillman Speedway in Adelaide on Saturday when he contested the Gillman Solo Championship. He failed to win any of his four qualifying heats but won the last chance semi final to take his place in the final. He finished third in that behind Shane Parker and Justin Sedgman.

This week he is at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra at the Elite Riders' Camp joined by such notables as Chris Holder, Jason Crump, Troy Bayliss and Paul Caslick. He'll be working on his strength and fitness at this camp.

That will help as he has both the Victoria State Tile and the South Australia State Title to contest shortly. The Victoria Title takes place at Mildura on Saturday with the South Australia version the following week at Gillman.

Max's biggest problem on track at the moment is getting used to the muffler (silencer) that is used on Aussie tracks. It's completely different from what we use in the UK.

And if that's not enough Max is also working full time at a local vacuum truck company. The rest of his time is spent sleeping!!

Hopefully Max will sign on again as a Monarch in 2014.
