The south west of England has taken a battering from the overnight storm and Somerset Speedway took the brunt of the strong winds but early morning reports confirm that the Premier Championship decider will go ahead on Monday evening.

Rebels co-promoter and team manager said, "We've already had a couple of inspections of the track and all the ancillary equipment we require to run a meeting and we're pleasantly surprised at what we have found. It could have been much worse and I think we've come off quite lightly. With the weather forecast good for the rest of the day we plan to get the match underway at 7.30pm on Monday evening."

That's good news for the Scotwaste Monarchs and their supporters with all already on the road south. It is thought that as many as one hundred supporters are making the trip.

Of course the Scotwaste Monarchs go into the match without broken lef victim Jozsef Tabaka. The only facility allowed to cover for his absence is rider replacement and that will give extra rides to Claus Vissing, Max Fricke and the reserves. Not perfect as Jozsef is a bit of a track expert at Somerset.

So the Scotwaste Monarchs have a two point lead to defend. It won't be easy but the team are determined to bring the League Championship title back to Armadale.
