It may be Good Friday this week but unfortunately we won’t be celebrating it at the Scotwaste Arena as our opening meeting of the season against Berwick has fallen victim to the weather. However, the weather forecast is much better for the next seven days and it looks like it will be a good Friday for speedway on 5th April. So we’re carrying forward our celebration for seven days.

Glasgow are now our season openers as their new look line up will arrive at Armadale on the 5th of April for what will now be the first leg of the Spring Trophy, and the Easter Bunny will be there to distribute Easter Eggs to children and we’ll be opening hospitality for our Easter Celebration. As planned for 29th March, hospitality packages will be available at a cost of £30 per person or £10 for children up to the age of 18. Season ticket holders can join in the fun for the payment of an additional £15.

The hospitality package consists of stadium admission, matchday programme, finger buffet, alcoholic and non alcoholic, Easter Eggs, Easter Cake and Hot Cross Buns.

Our Easter Bunny challenges all other Easter Bunnies, who will be admitted to the stadium free, to an interval race.

The Scotwaste Monarchs will have been involved in a meeting by then. The first leg of the Cock O’ the North takes place at Berwick on Saturday night and there appear to be no weather problems there. Sunday's meeting at Glasgow though has gone the same way as our own.
