Talks have continued with Claus Vissing, who returned to Denmark on Sunday morning, over the weekend with a view to him joining the Scotwaste Monarchs as a direct replacement for the visaless Sam Masters.

John Campbell said, “Claus has all his equipment in the UK ready to race so that’s a big plus for us and talks with him have been very amicable but the major stumbling block we have is that Claus wants to base himself close to Armadale having given up his previous UK home in Wolverhampton and, at the moment, we haven’t been able to secure any suitable accommodation for him. In a perfect world that accommodation would have a garage attached that Claus could use as a workshop. If anyone can help us out I’d be very pleased to hear from them.”

Vissing would fit perfectly into the Scotwaste Monarchs team as his average is only 0.01 above Sam Masters’ average but the deal needs to be finalised by Tuesday to allow the Scotwaste Monarchs to re-declare their team for Friday’s opener against Berwick.
