Monarchs and Tigers meet at the end of the month in the Knockout Cup quarter finals, and the club’s bosses have agreed to offer a reduced cost ticket for all supporters wanting to see both legs.

The matches are at Armadale on Friday 29th June (7:30pm), and Ashfield on Sunday 1st July (4pm).

Glasgow boss Alan Dick said “We’re hoping to get the biggest crowds we can to create a great atmosphere at both venues.”

For Monarchs. Alex Harkess said “I hope each venue is bursting at the seams. Edinburgh/Glasgow matches are always special but even more so on this occasion with the prospect of the winner going on to win some silverware.”

It’s the first time the teams have been drawn together since 1994, amazingly (though they have been in qualifying sections together a couple of times since). It will be eagerly anticipated as it will carry one of the Scottish sides into the semis with a real chance of winning silverware.

Edinburgh and Glasgow have been league champions in the past two seasons, and both also reached the KO Cup final in their championship seasons – only to lose. This is a chance for one of the sides to put that right.

The double ticket prices are as follows:

Adult £25

Senior/Student/Child 16 – 18 £20

Child 12 – 15 £10

Child under 12 £ 1

These will be available at the tracks and also via the Monarchs on-line ticketing system.
