Andrew Tully took the scalps of Ty Proctor and Niels Kristian Iversen in a thrilling Ben Fund Bonanza meeting which started the season at Birmingham this afternoon, won by Brummie Ben Barker.

Poor starts in his final two rides prevented him adding to his score, though in his third heat he was dicing with Ben Barker and Rory Schlein, no less.

Andrew said "I wish I'd got a few more. I made changes every race to test things but I think I went the wrong way in the end."

This was by far the best of the four Ben Fund meetings so far, on a sunny day in front of a big Perry Barr crowd. Some of the heats involving Harris, Schlein, Barker, the Pedersens etc were quite outstanding.

Unlucky Adam Roynon took a tumble but according to Andrew, he should be OK.
