The Scotwaste Monarchs did much better than most had predicted on what is the toughest assignment of the season, scoring 38 points, but after starting well Ryan Fisher crashed spectacularly in heat 11 and had to pull out of the match.

He had scored 8 from 3 rides, beating Darcy Ward in heat 1 and heading the powerful Sanchez/Schramm pairing, but after making a fair start against Topinka in heat 11 his bike lifted on the second corner and threw him heavily on to the track.

Considering he finished our previous meeting in a similar fashion it wasn't unreasonable that Ryan then pulled out of the match.

Nevertheless we stuck to the task, with Aaron Summers and Matthew Wethers consistently piling up points. Michal Rajkowski also won a heat, and with Summers second this gave us a 5-1 in heat 8. We repeated this in heat 14 and apparently these two maximum advantages were the only ones conceded by King's Lynn at home this season!

Aaron's score was his highest away from home, and also his best performance. He kept right on the tail of Ward and Topinka in heat 13.

Although we did well we lacked the overall strength to have much chance of taking any league points. Neither Byron Bekker nor Max Dilger got amongst the points and four riders could not manage on their own.
