Once again we clicked as a team on the road to grab our first away league win of the season by 47-43 at Newport on Sunday.

There's no doubt that having Thomas H Jonasson back in harness gives the team a far better balance and we were even able to allow captain Matthew to have a nightmare day and still win.

We had three riders on double figures and one of the hardest things was to decide which two to put out in the last heat decider.

In the end the winner of that heat 15 was also the young man who knocked 0.3 secs off the track record in his first ride - Andrew Tully!

Andrew was unbelievably good with 4 wins in his 13 points, but so were Ryan Fisher (11) and Thomas H Jonasson (10).

In addition there were plenty of good points for Michal Rajkowski back on his old track, and Aaron Summers.

Matthew Wethers struggled on the first turn in his first two heats, crashing in heat 7. Although he came out for his third ride, he was not feeling good and had some treatment before pulling out.

It is hoped he will be OK after rest.

It made it a great weekend for the team who beat King's Lynn unconvcincingly on Friday but won at Scunthorpe on Saturday in the PT semi-final and now Newport.
