The Scottish-based Monarchs visited Murrayfield on Sunday and were well received by the Capitals' fans as they paraded their trophies.

Captain Derek performed the ceremonial puck-dropping at the start of the evening, and following the first period Derek, Andrew, William and Matthew were driven round in cars displaying their trophies.

The League, Trophy and Playoff trophies were all displayed and the reception they got was a very good one.

There were a number of Monarchs' fans in the crowd, and the match sponsors were Swally Tours, making it a real speedway night at the hocley. It was a good night for the Capitals too as they defeated Hull Stingrays 7-3 in an important match.
