On a bitterly cold evening Monarchs eased to a 56-35 win to complete a double over Berwick.

Everyone on the home side scored at least paid 6, and everyone had at least one paid win.

The Hermiston Monarch of the Match was Ryan Fisher for some exciting riding in a paid 13 score, though William Lawson was also as good as last week. Unfortunately he lost his unbeaten run for the season due to an ignition problem in heat 14.

Berwick fielded 7 of their own riders for the first time this season, but sadly lost two riders very quickly. Guglielmo Franchetti has shoulder and back injuries aftera first bend fall in heat 1, and Manuel Hauzinger lasted only a few yards in heat 4.

It appeared that he was not fit to ride in the first place.

Monarchs lost a few silly points once more, including a fall while leading heat 2 for the second week running for Andrew Tully. This one was won by Aaron Summers who also won his second ride (while Matt Wethers mistook a reversing van in the pits for a red stop light).

Next week's visit of Workington will be a bigger test and it would help if no daft points were lost!
