Andrew Tully has crashed riding for Scunthorpe on Sunday afternoon and will be out of action for six weeks with a broken ankle and heel.

The accident happened on the first bend of heat 3 in the Scorpions' match against Plymouth. Andrew brought the fence panels down and was taken to hospital.

Monarchs' promoter John Campbell says "It has been confirmed that he has broken his heel and ankle,. They are clean breaks and should mend quickly, but clearly it will rule him out of our remaining fixtures.

"It's very unfortunate for Andrew and the team who have had such a good weekened as we try to make it to the Young Shield.

"We will examine what options we have to replace Andrew."
