Daniel Nermark was a comfortable winner of the final heat in the 2007 Keyline Scottish Open after a night of exciting racing.

He defeated a combative Kevin Doolan, brilliant Armadale debutant Tai Woffinden, and Shane Parker who had been top qualifier for the final.

The only downside of the night was a heavy crash for Carl Stonehewer in heat 11. Stoney had scored 5 points from 2 rides but trailed on the first lap of his third heat, only to fall on the pits bend in a manner which suggested that his bike had stopped dead.

He was taken to hospital and news is awaited.

The majority of the field achieved something, including losing semi-finalists James Grieves and Kaj Laukkanen, Christian Henry and Cam Woodward (who was unlucky).

Tai Woffinden won heat 20 to make the final as a direct qualifier along with Parker, and Daniel Nermark had too much speed for the others in the semi. For a while it looked as though Lauykkanen would be the other to go through from the semi, but he was eventually pushed back by Doolan.

Nermark made absolutely no mistake in the final.
