William Lawson achieved a superb second place finish in the British Under-21 Championship at Eastbourne.

This continues the upsurge in form we saw begin at Armadale on Friday night.

Just to add to the fearful travelling William is facing over the weekend, the meeting was delayed due to starting gate failure, eventually beginning at 8.20pm.

He scored just 2 points from his opening two heats but bounced back with two wins to get back into the reckoning.

He made the semi-final with a score of 10, and went through to the final along with Tai Woffinden when Danny King and Lewis Bridger both suffered exclusions.

The final result was Edward Kennett, William Lawson, Tai Woffinden, Ben Barker ?the best individual result of William's career so far. He now proceeds to the World Under-21 rounds.
