The Scotwaste Monarchs lost by 9 on a very heavy Berwick track.

We did have five different race winners, but we were behind from heat 1 and never closed the gap. Henrik Moller, who is having machine problems at the moment, didn't look comfortable on the track though he did beat Burza in his final ride.

It was often something of an endurance test for riders and fans alike as members of both teams struggled to hang on to their machines while battling through the dirt.

Gate 4 was the best for much of the meeting, which worked for both teams, and when Rusty Harrison scored a 6-pointer in heat 13 we were back in the hunt, just 7 behind. We added a 4-2 in heat 14 but lost a 5-1 in the final heat.

Monarchs will be reasonably confident of taking the bonus in our final Premier Trophy match when Bandits come to Armadale on 16th June.
